MacDermid's LUX® technology offers printers the opportunity to print like never before. LUX®, an innovative technology developed exclusively by MacDermid, enables flexo printers to increase print quality, improve print consistency, and print more efficiently while reducing waste. The LUX® process produces a digital plate with a unique, flat-top dot profile from a near 1:1 mask-to-plate imaging process. The bump curve associated with digital plates is effectively eliminated, thus expanding the available tonal range. There are two product families within the LUX® product portfolio: LUX® Lamination and LUX® In-The-Plate (ITP). Both offer the benefits of LUX® flat-top dots.

LUX ITP™ is MacDermid’s flat-top dot line of flexo plates. The first to market in-the-plate (ITP) technology is the product of a persistent and focused effort to advance flexographic printing. LUX ITP™ delivers flat-top dots and their proven print benefits without the use of additional or special platemaking equipment.

The LUX ITP™ product line is available in a wide variety of options including hard, medium, and super soft durometer plates. These plates are used in numerous package printing applications: flexible packaging, tag & label, folding carton, sacks, paper, multiwall, and corrugated material.

Fast and easy to use, MacDermid LAVA processing technology is available in 50 x 80 or 42 x 60 configurations resulting in maximum productivity. LAVA integrates easily with the most popular front-end prepress systems and software making it a solution for almost any workflow.
